What?
After moving to New York City, DuBoise and Tingle found it hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle, so they began researching proper nutrition. In 2012 DuBoise and Tingle started delivering organic meals by bicycle to their friends. Today Sakara Life is an organic meal delivery program based on a whole-food, plant-rich diet. DuBoise and Tingle oversee a team of 80 people, and Sakara Life delivers to 48 states.
I recommend reading…
DD: Women Who Run with the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype by Clarissa Pinkola Estés.
WT: You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay.
OUR mantra is…
“Focus on the good.”
No matter the situation…
WT: We know how to stay calm, and try to get to the heart of a matter instead of trying to talk around things.
My favorite gadget is…
WT: My new citrus lemon juicer because now I can make margaritas.
We love watching…
DD: What the Bleep Do We Know!? It’s really weird, but it’s about quantum physics and how by being a viewer of something you are impacting it. It’s about how your thoughts impact your life on a scientific level.
Every day at the office…
We do 20-30 pushups and get everyone on the team to do it with us. It’s better than a cup of coffee!
Something everyone should try at least once in their lives is…
WT: Dedicating time to take care of yourself and do all of the things that are on your list that you know you should be doing.
My aha moment was…
DD: Realizing that ultimately my job is to help you feel worthy enough to take care of yourself. It might feel like I’m selling food, but what I’m actually doing is I’m inspiring you to feel like your best self.

I love it when people can…
DD: Be honest and not take things personally because when people can have true and honest conversations without the ego getting involved or hurt feelings getting involved you can get to the truth of the matter.
We were taught that…
DD: You don’t have to listen to the rules. The rules were just made up by some other individual, so you can make up your own rules.
The most important lesson we’ve learned is…
DD: To make sure you find the time to connect with everyone in your immediate circle. We can misinterpret connection as just saying hi, but true connection is something we all know what it is when we feel it.
WT: To find ways to remember who you are. It might be going back to your hometown or getting on a phone call with your mom or brother or sister because life changes along the way. Find ways to remember to stay true to who you are.
Someone always on my playlist is…
DD: Janelle Kroll.
WT: Leon Bridges.
I’m currently Netflixing…
DD: What the Health.
